Adsi This is the official heroin blog spot for EVERYONE ! to share there experiences in one place namely heroin.
So to begin I would like start off buy adding there are different changes that occur in both man and woman body's. There have been cases of woman having irregular menstruation periods and problems with intercourse. There has been some cases of long term use where men have become impotent... will discuss that later.
Heroin is a member of the opiate family and it causes physical dependency and withdraw after 4 to 3 days of steady use. Users start feeling withdrawal anywhere between 6 hours to sometimes 24 hours depending on potency and the amount used. Withdrawal last for more or less 4 to 7 days the first 4 days being the toughest part. The amount of heroin use and how long you been using determines how intense these four days are going to be for you it usually fallows with sleepless nights. Not being able to sleep the withdrawal off is one of the hardest part of the withdrawal process but there is a reward at the end of that road. Most people feel like all there energy is depleted and have no choice but to continue there normal everyday activities almost 40% of users are your average working Joe and detox can cause some financial problems with particular people.
CLINICS
I live in houston, tx and finding financial help for detox here is slim to none. some of the people I have encountered during my study have ether detoxed in harris county jail or just kicked it cold turkey because of there financial situation and no insurance but most people just continue to stay on it. Then you have your methadone/sub clinic for people on medicaid this is a long term option but for people not on medicaid it runs about $75 weekly and some people fall behind and the withdraws are worse off. methadone withdrawal last weeks depending on the dose you stop at. Methadone clinic's in houston make you wait 3 months before you get take homes and only if your balance is paid there was an instance when a pregnant women had just had her baby and her medicaid was taken away and she kept going to the clinic about 3 months later she learned she owed them over a $1000 and was eventually kicked out and turned back to heroin. If you want to go to one of these facilities its at your own discretion.
SOME OF HEROIN AFFECTS ON HUMAN BODY
Heroin affects the part the brain that regulates endorphins through opiate receptors. Heroin sends chemical to the brain that makes the user feel simply fantastic. When someone starts abusing heroin they usually stop getting high off it some of the factors for this is because there body stops producing its own endorphins and because of this they become dependent on the drug to put those pain killers in the brain when you stop using heroin theres no endorphins in the brain for about 4 days and thats where the withdrawal comes from.
IRREGULARITIES
For some long term female users there has some talk about it affecting there periode cycles I know little of this but im interested in some follow ups from other user's experiences on this blog
